How much does custom hat embroidery cost?
A custom embroidered hat costs between $14 and $26 per hat at HatDraft, depending on the model you pick and how many you order — and that price includes the embroidery itself. A single Richardson 112 with your logo stitched front-center is $25. Order twelve and the same hat drops to $21 each; at 144 it is $15 each. The only extra most orders ever see is a one-time $20 digitizing fee, and that disappears entirely at 24+ hats.
What actually determines the price?
Three things: the blank you choose, the quantity you order, and any add-ons. That's the whole formula. The blank sets the starting price — a Yupoong 6245CM dad cap starts lower than a FlexFit 6277 fitted. Quantity sets your tier — every model has published breaks at 12, 24, 48, 96, 144, and 288 (some run to 432). Add-ons are flat and boring on purpose: +$2 per hat for a leather patch instead of flat embroidery, +$2 per hat per additional embroidery location, +$2 for Multicam or Kryptek camo colorways, +$2 for 2XL/3XL fitted sizes.
Is there a setup or digitizing fee?
Under 24 hats: a flat $20 per design, once. At 24 hats or more: free. And on reorders it is never charged again, no matter the quantity — your stitch file is already on file. Digitizing is the machine-readable conversion of your logo into stitches; we do it in-house in Webster, TX rather than outsourcing it, which is also why proofs come back inside 24 hours.
What does a real order look like?
| Order | Per hat | Digitizing | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 × Richardson 112 | $21.00 | $20 | $272 |
| 24 × Richardson 112 | $19.00 | Free | $456 |
| 144 × Richardson 112 | $15.00 | Free | $2,160 |
Those are live prices from our configurator, not examples — the checkout charges the same tier price the calculator shows.
Why is there no minimum order?
Because the economics of one hat still work when digitizing is priced honestly. You pay the single-hat price plus the $20 digitizing fee once. If you reorder later — one hat or a hundred — the fee is gone and the volume tiers kick in. Most shops hide digitizing inside a 24- or 48-piece minimum; we would rather publish the number.
How do I get an exact quote?
Up to 432 hats, you do not need one — pick a model and the configurator prices your exact build live. Past 500 hats or mixing models, use the volume quote form and a human prices it against current blank inventory within one business day.
